The team of the department:
♦ organizes large-scale national health surveys, including monitoring of lifestyle, environmental risk factors, and the impact of socioeconomic conditions on health;
♦ organizes the National Human Biomonitoring Program and assesses the health risks from toxic chemicals in the Czech population;
♦ coordinates the activities of the Environmental Health Monitoring System in the Czech Republic and manages the annual outputs;
♦ assesses the health effects and risks of environmental noise exposure;
♦ collaborates on national and international research projects.
